All-inclusive family holiday packages are popular in Vanuatu
Families from all over the world are arriving at the crystal clear waters of Vanuatu in increasing numbers, with reports noting that trips have increased 4.2% each year for the past few years. This South Pacific island country is growing in popularity with visitors from around the globe.
Whether it’s for the endless stretches of beaches where kids can run wild and free or the various island activities that you can find both on an offshore, it makes sense that Vanuatu is a popular destination for families with children looking to escape the hustle and bustle of places like Australia. However, before heading to Vanuatu for a relaxing retreat in paradise, you’ll want to plan ahead for family fun that’s safe for everybody.

A good sand beach is always a preferred playground for children on a holiday

Whether you’re relaxing on the beach or enjoying a day out on a boat in Port Villa, it’s important to discuss all safety situations with your children beforehand. This means that, if they’ll be lounging at the hotel’s pool, ensure they understand the rules of the pool deck. If you’re going to spend the day cruising, ensure they know which areas they’re allowed to access and that they understand boat safety rules. To put it simply, open communication with your children before engaging in any out of the ordinary activity is key. That, and lots and lots of sunscreen.
While the islands are largely kid-friendly, some hotels, resorts, and beaches will be more fun to children than others. Aquana Beach Resort, for example, provides engaging activities for young children, on-call nannies, and a kid’s menu to order from. If you want to venture out of the hotel, you can take the kids kayaking or snorkeling at nearby hotspots.
Regarding other types of kid-friendly spots around the island, you can check out the Wet N Wild Adventure Park or head to the Reef Vanuatu Zoological where the little ones can have up-close encounters with iguanas.
If you prefer larger family resorts in Vanuatu away from the main Efate island, you can choose Iririki Island Resort, located on a small Iririki island in Port Vila harbour. Or go to Erakor Island Resort, located in Erakor lagoon just outside of Port Vila town. If you enjoy a somewhat smaller place, go to Hideaway Island Resort, in Mele Bay, that also offers a family and kid-friendly fun in Vanuatu.

Planning ahead for a vacation with children will ensure that by the time you reach it, you’re able to fully relax and enjoy paradise. Make a packing list, speak with your children beforehand about how to behave in a safe manner when at pools, beaches, or on boats, and let them participate in fun activities. It’s likely that they’ll be so entertained that you’ll even get a little alone time to really bask in the sun and enjoy the white sand beaches, too.
