This ritual requires local boys and men who are as young as 7 years old to attach a vine to their legs and jump from a manmade tower that is 20 to 30 meters high. The locals use materials from the forest to build the tower for a period of five weeks. The jumpers are aware that only 10 centimeters can make the difference between death and life.
