‘Good Harbour’
resort

Port Vila harbour |
Worawia Holiday Haven is one of the
very few Ni-Vanuatu inspired and built ventures in Vanuatu.
‘Ni-Vanuatu’ is what the local people of Vanuatu call themselves.
Worawia (which means ‘Good Harbour’ in the local language) was a
long-time dream of hosts, Saipir and Alice Solomon. After years of
hard work and never losing their vision, it became a reality in
1999 with the assistance and support of a small private group of
overseas patrons. Since late 2004 there has been a change of
management and ownership/partnership arrangements at the resort and
it is now being run jointly by expatriate manager/partners and
Saipir and Alice Solomon, with the help from 12 hand-picked local
staff.
