Baristas Competition Invites World's Best
Vanuatu’s annual barista
competition will be held this year from 12 -14 November at Le Lagon
Resort Port Vila. This year, baristas worldwide are invited to
enter and compete for the title against Vanuatu’s best. The
competition is part of the worldwide barista competition circuit
and will follow international rules. International judge Robert
Forsyth (Cafe Latte judge, World Coffee in Good Spirit judge, World
Ibrik judge) will help to judge and oversee the competition,
ensuring it meets world standards.
With rich volcanic and organic
soil perfect for growing coffee and French heritage from its time
as a French Anglo condominium, it is not surprising that Vanuatu
has a strong coffee culture. The competition is the perfect
opportunity for Australian baristas to compete in a professional
competition, share skills and discover an island paradise with
friendly people, coral reefs, waterfalls, crystal clear turquoise
ocean and of course, good coffee. (Source: VTO Island
